A three-time American Ninja Warrior competitor has created a killer full-body workout using nothing more than a pull-up bar and a giant pumpkin — just in time for Halloween.
Angela Gargano, a 30-year-old AFAA-certified personal trainer from New York, has dared her Instagram followers to take on her clever ‘Smashing Pumpkin Pull-Up Challenge.’
The athlete, who calls herself a ‘pull-up expert,’ shared a video of herself doing pull-ups while holding a large pumpkin between her feet for added weight.

Set to the ‘Monster Mash,’ Angela can be seen alternating between doing pull-ups and lifting the pumpkin up towards her stomach.
And while Angela makes the moves look easy, they most certainly are not.
At the end of the video, she included an outtake of the pumpkin slipping through her feet, but, thankfully, it didn’t smash.
‘Gotta get a pumpkin now!’ one fan commented, while another added: ‘Holy pumkin.’

Angela shared a follow-up video the next day to encourage people to work out using whatever they have on hand, including her new fall-friendly workout tool: a pumpkin.
In this clip, she is using is lying down and using one hand to hold the pumpkin above her head as she slowly stands up. Once she is on two feet, she reverses the move until she is lying on the ground again.
‘Work with what you got,’ she wrote in the caption. ‘Instead of waiting for equipment to become available and making that the excuse for not working out…
‘Be resourceful,’ she added. ‘Head to a park, use water bottles, towels, pillows, PUMPKINS… Use your body.’
