The trendy way to wear barrettes this season and where to have them customized

A hair party is happening!

Fashion trends are cyclical, so it was only a matter of time before your childhood barrettes came back in style. Grammers rejoice! Because there’s no time like the present for this Insta-worthy adornment!

‘Everyone is always looking to stand out and to personalize their looks, especially with accessories,’ said Carolina Lindo, Past Midnight Creative Director.

Nothing like the plastic hair clips you wore in your adolescence, barrettes have been re-imagined to appeal to a more mature and sophisticated audience.

And in 2019, it’s all about the stack.

‘If you want to make a statement, secure your tresses with several barrettes and mix different designs, explained Carolina.

While there are so many ways to wear them, the designer favors donning multiple at a time. ‘I love to wear my hair down, part my strands to the side and stack different style clips (pearls, crystals, letters) vertically.

Whether your mane is long, short, thick, or thin, everyone can get in on this fun, creative trend. And there’s no wrong way to wear them, according to Carolina.
