Prankster convinces her mum a stray dog followed her home and is able to FLOAT

A clever prankster managed to trick her mum into believing she’d adopted a stray dog that had wondered into her house from the street, only to discover she was actually using an Instagram feature to make the canine appear.

Tallia Jay, from Southend-on-Sea in Essex, text her mum saying she’d heard a dog whining outside her apartment, and when she went outside to check on it, the cuddly pal followed her in.

In a series of Whatsapp messages, Tallia, 23, made her story increasingly less believable by first saying she wanted to keep the dog, then adding that she was giving it a bath complete with pictures of the pooch.

Clearly enjoying herself, Tallia even told her mother the breed of dog was ‘instafilta’ and that it could float.

Taking to Facebook to share the funny messages, Tallia wrote:  ‘Jesus Christ I’m sat here p******myself laughing. Could my mum be more gullible?

‘Even after the floating off the side of the bed.. the sitting on the radiator.. my boyfriend holding it with one hand.. my mum is still only just ‘doubting I even have a dog here now’ WTAF.’

‘There was a dog whining outside, I went outside and it ran in. Then it followed me upstairs,’ she wrote to her mum, who replied with a simple ‘WTF’.

Talia added that she couldn't stop the dog from coming in, and she had to lock her cat Bruno in another room.

When her mother suggests looking on Facebook to see if anyone had a dog missing, Tallia replied: ‘No I want to keep it’.

Tallia’s mother then told her to take it to a vet to see if he was microchipped.

She then added that she put the dog in the bath and that he was getting on well with the cat.

Tallia's mother also tried to convinced her contact local groups to find the missing dof

When asked what kind of dog it was, Tallia replied saying isn't it an 'Instafilta', but her mum was still not cottoning on to the joke.

To take it to the next level, Tallia then joked the dog was 'floating'.

Laying in bed crying, belly hurts,’ commented another.

‘I fully fell for that also having not read any of what you have wrote. Intstafilta had me a bit puzzled but thought nothing more of it. Then you wrote its floating off the bed even then I didn’t click I thought it must of been a typo for falling,’ admitted one.

I’m dying, she was so concerned for the dog bless her. I actually was sat laughing out loud at 5am this morning reading,’ wrote one.
