Natalia Vodianova reveals she does the majority of caring for her five children

Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova has revealed that she does the majority of the household chores, arguing that the home is still a female-dominated space.

Natalia, 37, is mother to Lucas, 19, Neva, 13, and Viktor, 12, with her English ex-husband Justin Portman, and Maxim, 5, and Roman, 3, with her French businessman husband Antoine Arnault.

The family-of-seven live together in a luxury Paris home with views of the Eiffel Tower, but Natalia has admitted that despite her busy career as a model and ambassador to various charities, the majority of the errands fall on her.

Speaking in the Telegraph, she revealed that Antoine does not do the cooking, adding:  ‘Even scrambled eggs is an issue for my man’.

Explaining that the one errand he did help with was putting the children to bed, she added: ‘It’s still a female-dominated space, still women are making the decisions of what to feed their baby, what to buy’.

Natalia previously admitted to being strict with her son about eating junk food when he was just 10, adding that he was ‘getting a little chubby’.

The self-proclaimed ‘mumpreneur’ has  now launched baby food subscription service ‘Little Tummy’, dubbed the healthy ‘Deliveroo for babies’.

Speaking about her latest venture, Natalia explained that it was aimed at busy mothers with full time jobs, explaining: ‘It’s proven that even having one child for a mother is the same pressure as having two and a half jobs’.

Natalia’s eldest children are born into her marriage with English aristocrat Justin Portman.

The couple split in 2011 and she shares her two youngest sons with husband Antoine Arnault.

Antoine is is a director of LVMH, which owns 15 fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Loewe and Givenchy.

But despite her husband’s dabblings in high end houses, H&M’s former face Natalia is passionate about eco-conscious fashion, shopping in high street stores and ensuring she steers clear from throwaway buys.

A successful model, Natalia has walked in more than 200 runway shows including Burberry over the past 18 years, graced countless Vogue covers and fronted campaigns from Calvin Klein to Stella McCartney and Versace.

But her glamorous lifestyle is a far cry from her beginnings, which saw her growing up in, an industrial town east of Moscow, helping her mother raise her autistic sister and at one point living on just one packet of powdered soup a day.

Her Naked Heart Foundation has raised more than £30 million in ten years to build playgrounds and assist the care of the disabled in her native Russia.
