So, covering dark circles can be a really tricky thing, so here are some tips on what to do. The first thing that I like to do is actually color correct. Color corrector is something that either has a peach or a pink undertone, and what it does is correct the blue undertone that can be underneath the eye sometimes. Often, I know I get these little veins that show through right here, so using something that has peachy undertone will help that out. So, as you can see, I’m just applying the corrector right now, this one’s by Bobbi Brown, she has a bunch of different color correctors. This will be the first step to your eye. And, I’m just blending it in with my finger, as you can see placing it with the brush and blending it with my finger, just to kind of tap it in there, make sure it’s really nice and smooth. As you can see, it’s already brightened quite a bit, but the next step is to conceal, and we’ll really get a nice clean look.

So, the concealer that I chose is a Makeup Forever HD concealer, this is a water based concealer. It’s really nice, it actually has hyaluronic acid in it, which plumps the under eye area. So, if you ever get puffiness, or anything like that, it’s going to kind of balance that out. So, I’m just going to apply a little bit. And, I say, for concealer, I like to match pretty closely to the skin color, your natural skin color. I don’t like to go too much lighter. Because then it kind of reads like you’ve got a little halo around the eyes, here, so you don’t want to go too light. So I’m just applying with air brush concealer brush and tapping it in with my finger. Once again, I really love to use my fingers for this step. And, a lot of the darkness that we get in our under eyes is concentrated right here, and you’ll kind of see a little circle here, so that’s the main area where I’m applying this, down around the circle, and also we’ll sometimes get a little bit in this outer corner here. So, just tap that in, make sure it’s nice and blended. And, voila, we have brighter eyes.
