Queen Maxima of the Netherlands showcased her bold sense of style yet again this afternoon as she stepped out in Amsterdam.
The Dutch royal, 48, joined her husband King Willem-Alexander, 52, at the prestigious Prince Claus Awards presentation ceremony.
Opting for an eye-catching outfit, the former financier donned a bejewelled purple dress, complete with floral embellishment, and completed the look with a bright red coat draped over her shoulders.

Known for her flamboyant, on-trend dress sense, Maxima couldn’t be missed, with the mother-of-three sticking to her statement colour scheme with scarlet high heels and a matching clutch bag.
Adding a little glitz to her stylish outfit, the royal opted for silver earrings in the shape of flowers, with a complimentary purple centre.
Maxima opted for glamorous make-up, dusting her cheeks in a pink blusher that co-ordinated perfectly with her glossy lipstick.
She wore her blonde hair straight in a voluminous side-parting to complete the striking look.
The royal couple appeared to be in high spirits as they posed up a storm outside, despite the chilly winter weather.

King Willem-Alexander also looked smart, but kept his colour scheme less bold than his wife’s, in a royal blue suit with a paler blue tie.
Presented annually, the Prince Claus Awards honour individuals for their outstanding achievements in the field of culture and development, and the positive effect of their work on their direct environment and the wider cultural or social field.
Queen Maxima, who is an international financier by training, married into the royal family in 2002.
Born in Argentina, she met King Willem-Alexander three years prior in Seville, Spain.
The royal couple, who have three daughters, have had a busy month of engagements both in the Netherlands and abroad.
Last week Maxima attended the Vakmensen jubilee conference in the city of Nieuwegein, in the Dutch province of Utrecht – a day after she attended a ceremony for the Erasmus Prize 2019, following on from a three-day trip to Pakistan.
