Fashion-conscious women are rushing to buy a striped maxi-dress from Kmart which has been hailed the perfect summer piece.
The craze started after a Brisbane stylist named Sarah wore the frock in a series of outfit photos on her Instagram account, ‘She’s So Seasonal’.
Light, loose-fitting and ideal for warm weather, the ‘Strappy A-Line Maxi Dress‘ can be dressed up or down by switching accessories, with heels and hoop earrings for a sophisticated evening look and tennis hoes or flat sandals for casual day wear.
Available in sizes six through 20, the dress has a scooped neckline and adjustable shoulder straps as well as a soft fabric belt that can be tied to cinch the waist.
Sarah recommends knotting the fabric to one side to make your legs look longer, saying: ‘It’s a quick and easy way to style your maxi to help show some leg and to give some height.’

Fashionistas have been praising about the style and affordability of the piece that was released as part of Kmart’s new clothing collection, which debuted to rave reviews in October.
‘This dress looks a million dollars on you,’ one woman wrote on Instagram.
Another said she’d gone out to buy the dress after seeing it on She’s So Seasonal’s feed, dressing it up with a $10 belt and matching heels which she also picked up at Kmart.
‘Loving all your styling hints and tips!’ she added.
Melbourne fashion blogger Paige Kennedy called it ‘gorgeous’ while Jess Dakota – who specialises in creating affordable ensembles – said the colours are ‘beautiful’.
Queensland influencer Tori Jane dubbed it ‘the perfect summer vibes dress’.
It’s the latest piece from Kmart’s summer range to make waves online, following a $28 midi-dress described as the perfect transition piece to take you from working at home, back to the office.

Sydney stylist Tina Abeysekara endorsed the ‘Short Sleeve Shirred Bodice Dress’ in an Instagram post to her 110,000 followers, describing it as comfortable, stylish and remarkably thick quality – meaning there’s no danger of underwear showing through.
‘Popped on this $28 Kmart frock for a day of meetings and and working from home – cute and comfy enough for both,’ the 34-year-old from North Sydney, who posts as ‘Trash to Treasured’, wrote.
Printed with a rusted floral pattern, the cream dress has a square neck and puffed sleeves that hang just above the elbows in a flattering cut which makes the arms appear slimmer.
Shirred fabric made from cotton and viscose gathers around the torso to cinch and accentuate the waistline.

‘Omg what a gorgeous dress,’ Melbourne stylist Neha – who posts under the handle ‘My Style Perspective’ – added.
‘Looks great, T! I got the same [dress],’ Canberra stylist ‘This is Genevieve’ replied.
The dress has already sold out online in sizes six and 20, but it’s still in stock in sizes eight through 18.
