A savvy Australian mum has revealed her brilliant and affordable ‘hack’ for transforming an old bedhead using tablecloths from Kmart.
Posting in a Facebook group, the woman said she’d used two Home & Co charcoal tablecloths from the retailer, priced at $12 each.
She said this was her second attempt at covering her bedhead and bed frame as she wasn’t happy with the colour scheme of the first.
‘Originally white then I covered it in the beige/sand colour tablecloth they [Kmart] have but wasn’t a fan… Now I’m in love,’ said in her post, along with photos showing the item’s current transformation.

The woman’s hack required she first iron the cloths to remove any creases, then she cut the fabric to fit the bedhead and frame.
A staple gun was used to fix the material in place and also helped her create perfect pleats around the edges.
The Kmart tablecloths used by the woman are made from cotton which has been treated to give it a linen like-look.
The tablecloths measure 150 centimetres by 225 centimetres.

Another added: ‘Looks great! I want to give this a go now. The leather on our bed is torn.’
A third said they were delighted by the woman’s efforts adding she was ‘inspired’ by the hack to have a go at covering her leather couches.
‘This is such a good idea. I have a white couch I want to do this with. You just gave me inspiration.’
