7-Eleven are now selling pumpkin spice slurpees – but would YOU try the controversial flavour?

International convenience chain store 7-Eleven has officially launched a limited-edition frozen pumpkin spice slurpee in Australia for summer.

The unique flavour was released in stores across the country on October 15, two weeks ahead of Halloween.

While the pumpkin spice latte was widely popular in previous years, the slurpee alternative has received a mixed response from customers on social media.

Each 7-Eleven slurpee can be bought for $1, $2 or $3 depending on the cup size.

In America the spiced flavours are used to emulate the flavours of pumpkin pie during Thanksgiving, and offers a warm, gingery flavour.

After the slurpee news was shared on Facebook, hundreds of customers openly shared their opinion and tagged friends.

‘I really don’t know how I feel about this,’ one person said.

‘Look what made it to Sydney!! Can’t wait for thanksgiving,’ another said.

‘Sounds nasty,’ a third added, but another disagreed and said: ‘I need to try it!’
